Meet Our Governors

I have become a governor as I would like to help support the school in ensuring that all children have the same experience as my children are having. I would also like to help and support the staff and wider school community become an even greater place for pupils to learn and grow. I have a degree in Modern Languages (French & Spanish) and have worked for the last 15 years in Educational publishing. I am enthusiastic and dedicated and look forward to the opportunity of becoming more involved with the school to help further its success.

With two children currently at Southam Primary School, I have been impressed by both the education and experiences that they receive.
As a Parent Governor, I will work with parents, teachers, other Governors and the Headteacher to help steer the continuous improvement needed to provide our children with the best chance of success.

I have become a co-opted governor as I would like to ensure that every student at Southam Primary continues to receive a high quality of education and has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am a passionate and dedicated individual who is eager to promote inclusive environments within the school communities. With a background in school business management I can bring valuable skills, knowledge and strategic expertise to the role of school governor. 

I believe that a good, well-rounded education is something that should be provided to all children, no matter what their background. Whilst I have 2 children of my own at the school, I have become a co-opted governor to help Southam Primary be the best it can be for everyone. My first degree was in Music but have spent the last decade in the energy sector which, as well as giving me transferable skills to use in role, has helped develop a passion for STEM in education. Most of all, I am keen to help Southam Primary continue to be an environment where all children know that they belong, and have the space to grow and thrive.

I currently have one of my children attending Southam Primary and am delighted to be taking up the role of governor at the school. I have a strong financial background as an accountant but have spent the most recent years in my career working within HR. I currently work with strategic HR for the Local Authority and during my career here I have also supported Warwickshire schools with all their HR requirements. I am looking forward to working with the school, parents and children in making sure Southam Primary remains an outstanding school. 

I have a son attending Southam Primary School which is how my initial interest in the governor role developed. I want to support where I can, to help the school continue to offer the best possible education and experience for all attending children. My background is in learning and development and change management, so I'd like to use that experience to help the school tackle any challenges and continue to look for opportunities to improve.
