Autumn Term 1 2016

This half term Penguin class have been very busy in Forest School. They have taken part in a hedgerow scavenger hunt, made hedgehog clay models, and a hedgehog home to attract wildlife to the school grounds.

We have observed a grey squirrel eating in a tree and made squirrel pictures from natural materials. We have talked about autumn and looked at the falling leaves. We have started to make another willow den for all the children to play in and have finally filled our 'wildlife meadow' bed up with soil.

The children have created soups, drinks, brownies and cakes in our mud kitchen.

We have looked at fire to link with the years 1 and 2 topic about the Great Fire of London. We have cooked marshmallows to have between chocolate biscuits and had a lot of fun.

We look for ward to Owl Class joining us next half term.
